I love messing around with 12×12 …. but I am not a scrapbooker. I prefer to frame them and use them as art instead, so…. here’s another fun framed art.. very simple but cute.
The image was print and cut on the Cricut Explore, colored with Chameleon Pens and then attached with Zig 2 Way glue to a 12×12 sheet of paper I acquired from a fellow crafter who was de-stashing.
There is plenty of room for a poem, or a Sentiment if so inclined …
This image is Girls Happy Trio by Bugaboo stamps who is the sponsor for our Monthly Bugaboo Crafty Challenge. Whether you are a card maker, or dabble in other craft forms.. these images are so much fun to color and use…so grab your Bugaboo’s and come on over and show us your style.

Well Cricut sure have been busy… and so have we. Summer vacations (I wish), getting ready for back to school and all those fun summer weddings and get togethers. As most of you know my son is going to be homeschooled, so crafting is a huge part of our life.
No one said education had to be boring… right LOL
Even though he isn’t technically starting homeschooling till next year, we still do a lot of fun projects designed to help him learn and have fun and be creative all at the same time. Part of that is our abandoned art projects, which is so much fun to do with kids and teaches them to give freely and enjoy it.
Now I wish we had this new Cricut Maker, have you seen this beauty yet? It’s due for release TODAY !!!!. I checked out the video and almost died when I saw that not only will it cut fabrics, but it’s also cutting wood as well as all the stuff we usually do on our Cricuts like paper and vinyl.
Interchangeable cutting heads and the separate pen holders too. I used to own a scroll saw many years ago and this looks like it’s going to do the same kind of fret work that I did back then….. VERY cool. Can’t wait to see this one roll out… !!! woohoo. I think my stepdaughter in Australia might like this one, she’s a big sewer.
and then of course there is the recent arrival of the light box... I know that would be really useful for us, specially me with my aging eyes.
…and then they up the ante with the new Cricut Easypress.. think of all the fun shirts you can create for back to school. Kids just love getting a new school wardrobe every year… and the money you can save and being unique… what kid doesn’t want to have something cool and unique. I hate ironing, but this… I have to confess I think I’d use for every day ironing too lol. I know this is something one of my DT girls would love, she’s big on HTV projects… I am so sorry Donna lol. Hopefully you already saw that and won’t blame me haha. It looks so cool though doesn’t it.
Cricut sure are trying to get us set up for winter with some fab new toys to keep us busy once the summer is over and we get done with back to school, wedding and summer projects. Then the weather starts to cool and we have more time indoors. It’s right on target for when most of us start thinking about the fall holidays and Christmas gift projects we have to get stuck into over the coming months.
I needed a break from cleaning up and had a play with some fun signs.. nothing major, just some fun signs with some fun images. I popped a square piece of Cohas Adhesive Chalkboard Vinyl onto an 8×8 wood canvas/blank and added some of the fun images I got from CraftsUPrint designer Gordon Fraser. These were watercolored using Gansai Tambi paints and H2o brushes on Canson Mix Media Paper.
It’s really easy to swap images in and out…. if you don’t want to keep a permanent image on it, just use a 2 way temporary bond glue. Great way to make motivational signs for yourself, or other family members. I just wrote on mine with blue and white Zig wet wipe Chalk Markers, which cleans right off with a wet rag. You could of course use a more permanent pen which they also make, that comes off with window cleaner. I deliberately didn’t prime my chalk pens, to keep it more rustic and not so intense.
This vinyl comes in 12×12 sheets, or pre-cut labels in various shapes. I like the 12×12 sheets because I can cut this on my Cricut Explore if I want something a bit fancy and also write on it on my Cricut.. because let’s face it, my handwriting sucks haha…. or pop it in a 12×12 Scrapbook page frame if I want something bigger. I have the labels too and they are awesome for labeling jars etc with my lil man as gifts.. lots of fun shapes.
When I want a more permanent sign, I confess I usually run it through my Cricut first to add the text..
Right now you can get access to the Treasure chest with a £15 order, plus £5 voucher on orders over £15 ( ends 27/3). 24 hour vault access and free mothers day clipart.. as well as the usual bonus game and entry into the Bob Pot Prize…

I exploded Easter with this fun card filled with Gina Marie Designs die cuts. I have a bunch of new dies sitting on my desk ..along with a gazillion other things I haven’t even had a chance to pull out of their packaging and I decided I was going to get stuck in this week. I had no idea till I started just how well the dies I had were all going to pull together. If you are a regular Gina Marie Designs addict, you will most likely recognize most, if not all of these dies.. but for those of you who don’t, there is a list of supplies at the bottom of the post 🙂
Plenty of room for a sentiment if/ when needed too… just a fun, die crazy card… if you added a banner cut sentiment… that would make at least 7 GMD’s .. or a sentiment die too like the Happy Easter ..or 8 if you had the stitched sun from the stitched skies set.. which I don’t have YET !
I love how this one turned out … this is another one of my CraftsUPrint cut files from a recent purchase.
I used the single panel for this design and cut it from SEI Black Velvet Paper. I adhered it to a sheet of Canson Mix Media and colored the panel with Zig Clean Color markers I trimmed it to size and inked the edges. I made a 5.5×8.5 card base with 110lb card stock with a black boho cut layer and a red and white polka dot layer and popped the image topper on that. I added a corner die cut by My Little Paper World.
What I love about this design is that the negative left after the main cut on my Cricut Explore is equally stunning and would be perfect for another project, or to make a matching envelope. I hate wasting paper.. but specially this Velvet lol..so it’s fabulous for this type of project..
Well.. what a mix of goodies ended up in this project… I think everything but the kitchen sink lol
This is a new magnet framed with the Gina Marie Designs combo die piece you saw in a post earlier today… looks a bit different now though LOL. It had a few layers of Tim Holtz distress ink, followed by two colors of DecoArt Metallic Lustre, a touch more distress ink…. then 3 layers of clear embossing powder.
This one will be joined by the other two images who will be turned into magnets too and will be joining my Abandoned Art bucket and abandoned in the coming months. If you want to lean more about abandoned Art there are links to several Facebook groups on the side of this blog. It’s all about sharing the happy!
Now lets me just say.. not ALL of these LDRS Creative stamps were $1 clearance stamps before anyone goes to look for one and finds it is full price. I did pick up a few full prices ones using the 25% Kit & Clowder Group discount which was running last weekend… but most all of these were $1 clearance stamps. There are some still left.. so if you love a great deal.. you should definitely check out what they still have before it’s all gone. I originally ordered two of the London stamps with the intention of gifting one of them to someone, but alas they were out of stock so only sent one and a refund was issued..sorry .. I’m keeping that one lol.
I’m one of those who really likes to see stamps physically before buying, but these were such a great deal..it was worth a shot. I loved these so much when they arrived..I ordered 11 more lol. They are mostly unmounted, but the two Dove Art Studio stamps are mounted and what I thought was really cool… the mount has the image on it too so you can see it through the Acrylic blocks 🙂
This is one of my latest cut file purchases ..isn’t she cute. I decided to go with a bold contrast look and chose silver glitter for the card base, an acetate window and black velvet paper over 110lb card stock to create this cute card. The Fairy topper was cut on the Cricut Explore from a CraftsUPrint cut file. The texture on this card is quite cool…. smooth acetate, fine textured glitter card and then the lush velvet… makes for a great tactile card.
If you were waiting for a deal that included the Air 2.. guess what.. now you got one. and a bunch of other great deals… like the font access package. Looking for a deal on an older Air.. no problem.. they have those too.
Presidents Day flash Sale Ends 2/21 ..so grab your deals while you can.
