Just checking in to see if everyone is actually getting the emails for the posts, since that is the only way you will ever find out  you won.. unless you happen to be on the blog and see the post there.  These posts do not go on social media like  the regular posts, so be sure you are checking your emails, or the blog .. the last one was not claimed and  there will be more coming up.

Bloobel Stamps February Progressive Challenge Project

I had some ideas for this one that were  not too “PC” so I  played it safe and added a simple stamped sentiment by Unity stamps.  What I really wanted to do was make a joke about the President pardoning turkeys….or  some crack about  accidentally mixing up the caterer and entertainment orders for a bachelor party and the caterer providing a “Bird with big breasts”   I will leave that with you.. and your imagination can fill in the blanks lol.  I’m just keeping in Simple … for this one  LOL

Here she is, this is  Bake Me A Cake  with Quirky Christmas Robin and the sentiment is from the Unity Stamp Co.  “A Joyous Season” stamp kit. The image is printed on Canson Mix Media and colored with Zig Kurecolor pens and a touch of Ranger Distress Pen & Crayola Color Escapes Pencils.

The image was  cut with a Lil’Inkers Stitched die from the rectangular dual stitch set on my Sizzix Big Shot and mounted on a Recollections card from Michaels using a Zig Photo Tape runner

She is the February Progressive Image over at the Bloobel.com Blog.  Be sure to sign up and join in, the new March Progressive is coming up.

I will be compensated for purchases made through affiliate links on this page

Decorated MDF Inspirational Frame

Well this is a new one on me…

I have always liked the look of journaling and bible decorating; but since I don’t journal..and I don’t do the Bible thing…. and I don’t really think it would look the same if I stamped  the HTML Bible, which is the only one I own lol.. this was my own take on the idea.  And yes, that is a real thing.. Google it.. it’s a book for Computer geeks who build websites etc.

anywho.. as I said, this is my alternate take on the whole journaling, bible stamping thing….

I took an Art Minds  12 x 12 MDF frame that I picked up at Michaels a year or so ago, coated it in diluted Mod Podge and  stuck  a sheet of Christmas text on it from a paper stack book I just picked up in the sales at Michaels.  It’s from the Recollections Christmas – Pinecone Lodge Paper pad ..I stamped it with Stazon Ink and a stamp I also picked up in the after Christmas sale which was a Poinsettia stamp and die set by Stampendous.  I had already stamped and colored it so I  took that copy and scanned it into my graphics program, then did a print and cut on my Cricut Explore to  add the  colored layer.  These have been sprayed with Mod Podge sealer which really makes the colors pop on printed images, if you are printing on a regular flat card stock like the Georgia Pacific, or Neenah 110lb.

I cut the believe sentiment in two layers; one black and one red to match the coloring on the poinsettias and the main image using a Momenta Die I picked up on clearance at Hobby Lobby…and of course my trusty old Sizzix Big Shot.

The Image is IMG00374 -377 Faith Fairies Bundle – Bible Journaling Bookmark Digital Digi Stamp by Cute As A Button and I printed it on Canson Mixed Media paper then colored her with Chameleon Pens.  I stamped a border  of ferns around her using Black Ranger Archival Ink and Green Crafts Smart inks and the Hero Arts Fern stamp I picked up….again.. yup..in the Christmas sales at Michaels.

This is my  project for the new Cute As A button Blog Challenge, we’d love to see you join us.

I will be compensated fr purchases made through affiliate links on this  page

November 2016 “Crafty Awesomeness” Prize Challenge & October Winner

crafty_awesomeWelcome to another Crafty Awesomeness Challenge… let’s jump straight in with the winner for  the October Challenge…  the winner of a Sasayaki Glitter image is….

33. Dorothy: S

Congratulations Dorothy, please email me to claim your prize. Big thank you to Naz from Sasayaki Glitter for  being our October Sponsor and  for providing the fab images for the DT team last month.. we had a lot of fun with those.

This month our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps…. who have very kindly offered up a fab prize for one lucky winner.

PRIZE:

This month our random winner will  get 7 ..yes SEVEN  digital stamps from the Bugaboo store.  AND … if the  winner  used a Bugaboo stamp as the main image on their project, I will personally throw in another 3 stamps.  It is afterall.. time to be Thank full… right? …so this is my way of thanking you all for taking part.

bugga

HOWEVER.. if the random winner didn’t use a Bugaboo stamp .. My girls and I will pick a (one) winner from all entries using a bugaboo stamp  this month and they will get the extra 3 stamps instead.

And so here we are,  right in the middle of some fab holidays.. Halloween just came and went and just around the corner Thanksgiving and then Christmas..are you all ready to gain a few pounds ??… I know I am.

One thing I have never been able to give up is a good old British Christmas dinner, luckily hubby loves Yorkshire Pudding and gravy and all that goodness too.  Although I can’t seem to convince him that roast potatoes are frickin awesome lol. I do try and incorporate  a few of the dishes he is used to as well… like sweet potatoes and green bean casserole.

Since his job means we rarely get Thanksgiving as a family.. we tend to make the most of Christmas dinner.  And  that means TURKEY !!!  Well it does now we stopped going to the big family get togethers haha .. oh the sacrafice!

So of course  the DT projects have to be  Holiday inspired.. so  enjoy !

Vintage monotone “Shabby Card” with fancy edge

I’d been wanting to  use this image for a while now, but was waiting for the right project to fall in to place.  It’s one of the older Scrapper’s Delights images and has more detail and shadowing  than the newer style images… but lends itself perfectly to this vintage “shabby” look.  Because of the style it’s incredibly  quick and easy to  achieve this look, even if you aren’t a regular colorer.

Pencils and an alcohol blender pen.. a round stiff bristle brush and an ink pad…  no  hardcore precise coloring skills needed.  Even my 4 year old can dry ink these vintage shabby style backgrounds… in fact, if I recall he “hijacked” helped do this one lol.

The fancy edge border card is a cut file from CraftsUPrint “Over the Edge Floral Border 6”
Image is  Holly Hobbie Set 4
Colored with CraZart pencils, a home made alcohol blender pen and some Ranger Distress inks.  Fancy border has a Gelly Roll Stardust outline for a “lil bling”.

sd_hollyhobby_wmdCome join the fun on the  current blog challenge for a chance to win some Scrapper’s Delights Digis.
