Some of you may have noticed the fun decals I made using Cricut Window cling and the Bugaboostamps images the other week…. See Post Here. Now is your chance to grab some window cling and stamps and make your own 🙂 I had a blast with this window cling and can’t wait to make more.
I haven’t played with window cling in YEARS.. but saw that Cricut had some so figured I would have a play with it. I grabbed a black and what I thought was the frosted.. but actually turned out to be a white one… oh well.. still cool to play with, I’ll pick up the frosted another time. I had a quick play with some Bugaboo images to test it out.
Vinyl is not really my thing so I wasn’t too sure of the settings. I did a double pass on the dot between vinyl and Iron on on my Explore…. and it worked pretty good. It didn’t cut the backing paper and was pretty easy to weed with an exacto. Some of the more detailed portions can be tricky, but I just used a rounded point to hold the piece down as I peeled away the excess. I may rack it up a notch to Iron-on and see if that helps.. but all in all I love how these came out for first attempts.
I just put these on some spare photo frame glass I had kicking around because it is late and hubby would probably not be amused to wake up and find his car redecorated haha. I didn’t clean the glass… since it was just test pieces..and I lost his eyes, so he has random spare parts for eyes lol. I also spotted a stray piece tucked under the baseball kids shoe after I took the pics, that is easy to remove with a sharp point.
The Stella and Gus “onepersontoannoy” is approx 6×4 inches and the “akv baseball batter” is approx 4×2 inches. The Bugaboostamps store is transitioning..so no links for these until it’s finished I am afraid.
You can buy the Window cling in a bunch of colors from Cricut.com and it’s also available in a frosted glass effect.
My local Micheals.com carry a few colors of the window cling, usually black, white and frosted.. and online they have red too.
This was not what I actually intended when I bought this cling.. but it’s cool to now I have this option too.

Are you ready for Box 3? The new box is SUPPLIES…. and we all need those right?
The contents of this box are going to cost $34.99 and are valued at $89.91 …. Ok so ..what is in the box.. by all accounts from what I can see.. so guarantees….BUT.. 2 rolls of window cling, 3 rolls of glitter vinyl, a roll of adhesive foil, 3 pearlescent paper sample packs in neutral, pastels and bold colors. All things I don’t have and really would like to play with… hurry up pay day. Quantities are limited so grab it while you can.
Have you seen the Cricut Mint Machine Bundle…? check out that price and all the goodies that come with it. I am so coveting the new Explore 2… I would love one of these. If you are totally new to Cricut, which is rare nowadays… but always a possibility.. There are so many cool things you can do with these machines…way beyond what Cricut even show you. Card making, scrapbooking, home decor, kids crafts, personalized clothing, gifts, packaging…… just the tip of the iceberg.
We had one member on the message board who made all of the signs for his re-enactment group.
Me.. I bought mine to make custom photo mats then got hooked ..and there is still a tonne of things I haven’t even tried yet.
One of my favorite things about my Cricut is the aftermarket Adapters I bought, which sadly are not available for the ONE.. but they are available for the Explore, Explore Air and Air 2 and those are FANTASTIC. these are pen adapters for the Circut by a company called Chomas Creations and they allow you to expand the range of pens you can use in your Cricut. For people like me..that is HUGE…it has opened up a whole new world of potential projects that I wouldn’t normally attempt because my handwriting is terrible and my calligraphy skills.. non existent lol. But not just that.. that means I can draw with so many more pens than before…
One of my favorites and one of the most popular pins on my pinterest page is this.. the powder embossing done on the Explore. Yup.. POWDER EMBOSSING drawn on the Cricut.
This allows me to take designs and instead of cutting them, I can draw them and emboss them.. LOVE LOVE LOVE this. There are other embossing pens, including one I made myself.. but these Zig Embossing pens coupled with the Chomas Adapter.. SWEET !!!
Anyone who is a regular on here knows how much I love my Zip pens.. and most all of them will work in my Cricut with the adapter… with the exception of the big chalk pens. But that is ok…. because I can outline on the Cricut then trace over it with my bigger pens when I want to do chalk signs. Way better than anything I could ever achieve by hand.
And of course.. the .. how could I not share what is probably my favorite paper to use on the Cricut.. this stuff is AWESOME.
It cuts beautifully, looks and feels amazing and gives a little extra something something to projects.
These projects were done with Black Velvet paper, but it comes in a bunch of other colors.. including white, which I love to print and color digital stamps on.
Did I mention stencils… check out this etched glass beer stein I made a couple of years ago using a stencil I made and cut on the Cricut. This was for one of our message board challenges. I Just cut my stencil from vinyl, slapped it on..slapped on etching cream and voila.. a fun beer mug 🙂
…so by now, if you are new to the Cricut….you are probably beginning to realize the Cricut can do a lot more than just use images on cartridges and on Design Space Access…. Yup you can upload your own designs or designs purchased elsewhere. Card templates, toppers, digital stamps. I’ve got a confession… I don’t subscribe to Access, I own probably 10 cartridges.. and I use my Cricut to make a lot of cool projects. So if the price of Access, or the designs not being to your taste is something that was holding you back .. never fear… this machine still has a lot to offer.
Print and Cut is fantastic, and when the DS3 ( Design Space update) comes out soon… it’s going to be even better. I for one.. can’t wait. DS3 has so many cool new features… admittedly there are still some things I would love to have added on… because I am used to having them in my graphics programs.. but it’s not a big deal to do it externally and then upload them.
Check out some of these fun projects done using Cricut Print and cut…

We went out for dinner and I decided to swing by Michaels just to grab a frame and check out clearance..and OMG I am so glad I did. I almost changed my mind.
I just had one of the best hauls ever…..
For the first time Michaels have started doing Grab Bags at the local store.. at least it’s the first time I have ever seen it. I have seen small ones at Joann before, mostly stickers and embellishments.. but I am talking SWAG BAG grab bags .. lol.. these are their large bags.
I wasn’t going to grab one because I had the lil guy with me and people had pretty much ripped them all open to see what was inside..and it would have been hard to grab one without dropping everything and keeping an eye on lil man. But while I was at the register I went ahead and grabbed one since they were right next to it and the cashier was someone I know well enough ( yes I shop there too often LOL ) to trust him to keep an eye on my kid for 2 seconds !
Now I confess I picked up this particular one because I saw something it it I had wanted to try..and that alone was worth the price of the grab bag LOL. Mambi paper, I had seen it on Christmas clearance but wasn’t ready to grab something I hadn’t used before and wasn’t sure of, when I had plenty of other things to spend on. But this bag was ripped open and it had 4 packs of it on show.. so heh… what am I ..a saint?? that was at least $40 worth of paper.
so here is my $4 grab bag from Michaels..
4 packs of 9×13 (24 sheet) Mambi Paper
22… yes 22 pocket/purse calendars for 2017 which will be great for Abandoned Art projects with some quick fun decoration.
27…TWENTY SEVEN canisters of Scentsicles… lol not sure what to do with all those.. but heh.. I am sure I will think of something. the containers might be useful for decorating if nothing else.
A pair of knitting needles
2 black pom poms which I forgot to add to the picture.
a pack of rhinestone letters and a metal sentiment
2 silver block letters ..about 4-5 inches high
so at least $100 worth of goodies at original prices.. for FOUR DOLLARS !!!
Then… we move on to bag #2 this was the stuff I actually picked up myself..
12×12 undecorated wood frame
2 packs of Chipboard albums ( big and small album in each pack )
clearance wood stamp
clearance cling stamps X8….8 Hampton Arts cling stamp sets
4 undecorated frames for the lil man.
Would you believe both bags… cost me just under $33 and contained at least $200 worth of goodies at original pricing. Between the grab bag, the clearance pricing and the coupons… THIRTY THREE DOLLARS !!!
I have to say I am thrilled to see Michaels doing the grab bags instead of dumping all the left over Christmas stuff that didn’t clear. Not just because it is such a fab deal for people like us who do multi crafts and who do abandoned art and kids art… but because I HATE WASTE. So good on Michaels for trying to find a better way to dispose of their unsold holiday stuff!!! and give customers a great deal… some of us really appreciate it. ME ME ME ME ME ME ME
Anywho.. one very happy camper… just a shame that hubby works a double tomorrow. I think if he was single shift, I’d go back for another grab bag. I am not sure if this is a storewide thing, I know it is being done in another store near by… but I would definitely check and see if your local store is doing them if you are running by one.
If you swing by and find a grab bag, be sure to share your haul ..I would love to know what everyone else got 🙂
I had a quick run through Michaels on Wednesday night and Hobby Lobby yesterday… I guess today it’s Joann day haha
anywho.. here’s a quick look at what I picked up, got some great deals.
I finally got my 12×12 frame for my Brianna Blaster project…. I inked it up in black and brown last night for an old distressed look using a Craftsmart Black Dye Ink pad and Ranger Tim Holtz Distress ink pads in Burlap and Walnut. Michaels don’t appear to be carrying the larger ink pads anymore. Little man picked out a small wood frame for one of his projects.
I also picked up 4 packs of 6×6 canvas panels board for the lil guy to use with the Gelli Plate we just got. In the Christmas Sale section we found a 3 pack of fondant rollers which will be fun to play with. they have 3 Christmas designs on them.
And then I also grabbed 3 sets of clear stamps.. all on clearance and 2 of them have matching dies. I have been wanting this Stampendous Poinsettia one and when I saw it down to less than $5..I had to grab it. Then we grabbed this one for the little guy, it is another Stampendous called Skaters also under $5
I also snatched up a couple of wood mounted stamps, the Patient Puppy was also on sale for under $5 and the fFern….I got 50% off with my coupon.
Of course I had to stock up on Recollections card too since it is on the buy 5 for $10 deal again.
And to make matters even better the young lady also tacked on a 30% off everything code for me too. So that little haul from Michaels cost me just $66 instead of over $130 at regular price.
Then we have Hobby Lobby… I got the two oversized sentiment dies by Momenta Believe & Dream on clearance for $5.99 each and hubby and I each grabbed a set of the Chameleon pens with the 40 % off coupons. SCORE ! I have now completed my Chameleon set… minus the fabulous case..which I would have loved.
.. but such is life. $74 haul for only $46 .. can't complain at that.

I am super excited, I woke up this morning to find out I was picked as a winner over on the Unity Stamps Facebook page. I don’t have any Unity Stamps YET…. unless there were some in the random mixed packs I picked up on Ebay for the lil man last year.
I can’t wait to find out what they send over…. I’ve had so much fun checking out the Unity Stamp site too. Well until I discovered THIS…. Oh boy !! I’m in troubles!
… they have 4 different monthly subscriptions and I want them all. I am so adding that on to my want list when I can afford to add more into my crafting budget. Not only do you get the exclusive monthly stamps… you get a discount… and it’s a bloody good one… on previous kits.
I really like the look of the SMAK kits (Scrapbooking, Mixed-Media, Altered art, Kit), I like to make my own stamped papers, for backgrounds… and those kits would work perfectly for that.
But then of course… there is the regular kit of the month ..and you need something to go on top of that hand-made stamped background….
…AND then they have a stamp of the week and a layers subscription…..*sigh.. oh the temptation lol.
I hope USPS take pity on me and don’t send this on the scenic route…. stay tuned to find out what I got…AND what I did with it 🙂
This card features the fabulous “Devilish Donna”, one of the 3 clear stamp that I got in the mail a week the other week. Absolutely love these stamps, the quality of the images is top notch ….and for me that is huge because I am a big digital stamp user and used to high res quality images 🙂 Now admittedly it’s a bit of a shock to the system for someone like me, who tends to “go big or go home” LOL. Suddenly I am size restricted…and yes I know..size isn’t everything.
But it does take a bit of getting used to for me coloring at a smaller size. Usually when I print my KennyK’s out they are at least 150-200% bigger than a physical stamp.. heh.. what can I say. Now the funny thing about this one is, I colored her by hand then imported her into my graphics program to do the background and text ….and then printed her smaller than the original stamp. Go figure !
No matter how many time I try to photograph this dang card… I just can’t seem to get a clean shot. It has so much going on and metallics, specialty papers… *rolleyes. So I aplogize for the not so fab quality of the pics on this one…
I have the original stamped and colored version, which is going on another project, hopefully before the end of the month.
And here is the digitally manipulated background and text.
This was printed out on some fab Polysilk Adhesive paper, which is almost impossible to find now. I have had this paper for.. hmm at least 13 years.
I have a bunch of fab specialty papers from that time that I just can’t seem to get hold of anymore and even though some of them are available for wholesale, I am not finding them for sale in the US on a retail level :/

To name but a few…. Chalkboard adhesive vinyl sheets… 12×12 sheets for all your Die cut projects. I made chalk boards and a sign and also did some decorative jar labels. If you don’t have a machine like the Cricut Explore, never fear ziggy also offer pre-cut labels in loads of shapes and sizes.
You can see some of those in the project post by Deescraps, she organized her spices and her craft room with these labels.
You can get a sneaky look at some magnetic sheet in my Jack Skellington Magnet post…this cuts like a dream on my Cricut Explore…and also comes in a white board finish 🙂
and the slate… I got some in my latest review box, but haven’t used it yet… so excited to get stuck into that one 🙂
Chalk Markers of all sizes and colors.. wet wipe and permanent.
If one of your New Year resolutions is to get organized… or you need some quick and easy gifts for last minute presents… then hop on over and grab some deals. Ziggyboard offer FREE SHIPPING…. so don’t miss the boat if you want this before Christmas.
Here comes the disclaimer... get ready for it!!
I do NOT get compensated for purchases made using the Ziggyboard.com link.
I do receive Free products to review occasionally.
I have quite enthusiastically spent my own money at ImageAbility (Craftingability.com & ZiggyBoard.com)
...and those items are reviewed and used in projects in an equally honest and unbiased manner as the ones I receive for review purposes.
..and some chalk marker pens that SHOULD work in my Cricut… perfect for my Ziggyboard challenge and review projects.. can’t wait to try these out. I really hope they work. at first glance I think these will need the Amy Chomas marker pen adapter..which I have. These are not pump and prime style pens, but more like a regular marker, so shouldn’t flood under the pressure of the Cricut writing system…. and I think they are the wet wipe type, these will wipe straight off like regular chalk. If you need a permanent type for your project…I am pretty sure you could use these as an outline and go over them with the permanent pens like the Zig Posterman, which unfortunately won’t fit in the Cricut and are the pump and prime type. These were a great price .. stay tuned for a review on these soon.. really hoping these work the way I want them to.
