CraftsUPrint Freebie Friday – 1 for the Journal Makers?

cupdecember
The Crafty Jaguar 8×8 Ultimate Organiser/Journal for Crafters by Janice McFarlane  is the new Freebie Friday at CraftsUPrint. WOWSER..what a kit huh…it’s HUGE.

“This is a massive kit, and not everything (extra embellishments, bookmarks etc) is included in the preview photo. I’ve tried to include pages in this kit that I think would be useful to crafter’s especially those who have a client list and attend craft fairs etc. There is lots of room for ideas, inspiration, and hand little pockets on the dividers, as well as some cheeky little crafty quotes on some of the pages. What you include is up to you, and how many pages you print out is also up to you. I am sure this will be invaluable to the serious crafter as well as making a fantastic gift for someone.

The Crafty Jaguar Organiser has a lovely faux leather and fur texture with stitched edges.

Fort Worth Stockyards, TX – Art Abandonment Project

Well int that some $%#$%#$

I have lived in Texas just down the road from the Fort Worth Stockyards for 10 years now..and I have STILL never visited. It’s one of those places I always plan to visit, but just haven’t got round to…. but that will change.  The little guy is old enough to enjoy it now and  we have friends out that way…. and now I have the perfect excuse for a family outing to the Stockyards.  I just made a super simple picture frame,  which I hope one of the tourists decides they would love to put one of their photos from a visit in. It’s a  quick and easy project you can do with the kids and relatively cheap .. but still a cool find  for someone.

If you haven’t heard of the FW Stockyards.. check it out.  They have a twice daily cattle drive which apparently is a lot of fun… and of course some great photo ops for my lil CowPokey 🙂 Those are old pictures.. time for some new ones  🙂

Be sure to check out the Art Abandonment Facebook Group and see all the fun things that are being abandoned ALL over the world. It’s a fabulous group and it’s for all types and levels of crafters and artist. A lot of us do this with our kids and grand kids, come on over and join in the fun. If you are lucky enough to find a piece, be sure to let the gifter know you found their artwork. Most pieces will have contact details for the group, or a private email you can use 🙂

Description
Art Abandonment is a group designed to encourage random acts of art, left in various locations around the globe. The idea is that folks can make something and leave it for a lucky unsuspecting person to find. Artists can then post locations and photos of abandoned goodies…and finders can let everyone know that they are the lucky finder! O’ sweet abandon!”

So … what do you do with an old coat and some cardboard?

…..Well a KennyK project of course lol.

I have this old Matrix style leatherette coat …. yeah ….don’t even ask  LOL.   It’s been hanging in a closet for a few years since I inadvertently stuck a stilletto heel through the bottom of it and ripped a hole  in it.. again DO NOT ask lol.

so..  it is now lying on my floor, with a nice big chunk out of it and  my apartment stinks of contact adhesive …..uggity!

I feel a KennyK piece coming on  *grin
