Quickie card – I heart you

I have some new CraftsUPrint cutfiles, a tonne of new stamps and dies and … oh dear.. it’s been a busy month… for shopping haha.  I have a huge basket of goodies to  play with … and not enough time to play with them all.. but I am sure gonna try..and my son seems to have been bit with the crafty bug bad this month..so I shall be in good company.

So going to start off our mega marathon of craftiness with a quickie card featuring a super quick and cute cut file and a Satuarate Canary stamp I picked up in my first.. yes I said first batch of stamps I grabbed from LDRS Creative this past week (see previous post).  I loved the ones I got so much…I went back for more.   At $1 a pop on clearance, there is no way I wasn’t taking good advantage of this sale …. the stamps are fabulous. I found some long searched for scenic stamps which I can’t wait to play with.  This was my first time shopping with LDRS and I have to say I am impressed.

Ok so here she is.. this is Alice, supplies list is super simple and listed below.

Card base is 110lb Georgia Pacific card and was cut on the Cricut Explore using a CraftsUPrint cut file by Apetroae Stefan  called OVER THE EDGE HEART BORDER CARD

Insert is Black Recollections Value pack 65lb card, contrasts great through the cut outs
Black layer is also Black 65lb Recollections card
Image was stamped on Canson Mix Media using black Stazon Ink and colored with Chameleon Pens

… both layers were given a shabby cut, I have an old cutter that  does this to the paper/card if you only cut one layer and I love it, because I suck at paper tearing/ripping  but like the shabby edge look for some projects…so this is my compromise.

I used Zig Photo Tape runner adhesive to attach my layers.

Velvet and Acetate fairy layers birthday card

This is one of my latest  cut file purchases ..isn’t she cute.  I decided to go with a bold contrast look and  chose silver glitter for the card base, an acetate window and black velvet paper over 110lb card stock to create this cute card. The Fairy topper was cut on the Cricut Explore from a CraftsUPrint cut file.   The texture on this card is quite cool…. smooth acetate, fine textured glitter  card and then the lush velvet… makes for a great tactile card.

Bloobel Stamps “Heart Moustache” Oversized Card

When I say Oversized… he is OVER sized lol. Just as well no one is getting their hands on this one, or I would have a heck of a job finding an envelope for him… LOL

This card measures in at a whopping 7 by 11 inches ….and I love it.  I left room at the bottom for a sentiment…. or humorous quote, when I decide what I want on there.

I  think this was the first Bloobel digital stamp that I ever laid eyes on a few months ago…and I have been coveting him for months.  I finally bit the bullet and grabbed him last week.  There is something very Dapper about this “young” man that just appealed to me and my British background.

Anyways …. I was good this time and actually took some progress pics too, I really wanted to show off these fab papers before they got covered up in layers.

I will add a list at the end of all the products used…. but here he is…. “Heart Moustache” in all his vintage “dapper” glory.

Bloobel Stamps –  Heart Moustache
Colored withZig KureColor Markers
Printed on Georgia Pacific 110lb Index Card Stock
Edges inked and smudged with Ranger “Tim Holtz” Walnut Distress Ink

Background paper

Striped Velvet Paper  –  This is an SEI Velvet paper from  craftadvantage

Vintage  paper –  hand made using Ranger Archive Ink on Recollections Card Stock, edges distressed with Ranger “Tim Holtz”  Walnut & Fossilized Amber.

Stamps are from my random collection of new and used stamps and I used too many to list, so don’t expect names ..sorry.  If you see a specific stamp  you want details on I will do my best to share that info. Some were from Michaels, some were from Ebay.   Some of the Ebay ones were unmounted, so I don’t know who made them….or what they are called.

Wrought Iron effect corners were done by stippling Ranger clear embossing ink on a sheet of paper with an old 2 inch paint brush and then embossed with Recollections Clear embossing Powder.

Main card base is from a pack of 11×14 Poster Board from a dollar store, scored and folded.

Vintage and velvet layers are mounted on Darice adhesive foam sheets

Glues  – I used a mixture of Tombow Aqua, Xyron Mega runner and a hot glue gun

Well I think that about covers it, if I forgot anything ..fee free to leave a question in the comments  🙂  I hope you liked the card..it was a fun one to make.
