12×12 Framed Scrapbook page

I love messing around with  12×12 …. but I am not a scrapbooker.  I prefer to frame them and use them as art instead, so…. here’s another fun framed art.. very simple but cute.
The image was print and cut on the Cricut Explore, colored with Chameleon Pens and then attached with Zig 2 Way glue to a 12×12 sheet of paper I acquired from a fellow crafter who was de-stashing.

There is plenty of room  for a poem, or a Sentiment if so inclined …

This image is Girls Happy Trio by Bugaboo stamps  who is  the sponsor for our Monthly Bugaboo Crafty Challenge.  Whether you are a card maker, or dabble in  other craft forms.. these images are so much fun to color and use…so grab your Bugaboo’s and come on over and show us your style.

Sneaky Peek.. You’ve been Framed !

So.. ready for a sneaky peek at a few more  fancy frames using the Gina Marie Designs Die Collection?  As you can tell I added a few more fun die sets to my collection this week .. so now I have even MORE combinations I can make up and play with.

I just ordered my final missing  die that I REALLY wanted for this project, the Dot Stud Rectangles.   The Dot Studs are the ones with the larger circle cuts…I have the circles now..as you can see in the picture and  already had squares, but Rectangles were  out of stock and I  REALLY REALLY like  the Dot Studs, so I had to go hunt a set down.  I think these are my favorite of all the IN/Out dies….  I hope that gets here soon.

There are so many combinations for this technique… and it’s such a great way to get a Bonus cut from your in and outs… expect to see these  A LOT in projects 🙂

Spring Card with Daffodils

This was an image I picked up a few months ago, I thought I’d see if my coloring Mojo was coming back… 🙂

Just a quick and simple spring image; popped on a foam base and mounted on a contrasting card, great card for all sorts of occasions!

  • Image  – Power Poppy “Dancing with Daffodils”
Image printed on 110lb Card Stock using print and cut on my Cricut Explore.  This is a 3D layered card with 3 layers. Main image, main image minus the smaller background leaves and flowers, then the final layer is the large Daffodil head and the Periwinkles.
  • Colored with Chameleon Pens, a touch of Ranger Distress Markers and Zig Memory System Brushables.
  • Card –  Recollections Value Pack from Michaels
  • Die – “Gina Marie” Cross(X) Stitch Rectangles from ScrapbookOutlet

Quick and Easy Sympathy Card & Another Die Giveaway

Ok, this one came together quicker than expected, so here is my sketch No 4 card for our Monthly Sketch Challenge over on the message board and it includes the Extra Credit for making a sympathy card. Now this is a Gazillion miles outside of my comfort zone… It’s way softer and more feminine than my usual typical style.  But as a friend told me, sometimes it’s good to step  out of your comfort zone.. so here it is.

Dies used Gina Marie stitched rectangle and a Gina Marie sympathy sentiment.  The sentiment was cut on a silver glitter card stock, the stitched die is  cut on 110lb card and popped with a foam rectangle behind.

Lace around the center is just some adhesive lace from a Joann grab bag last year. The lace down the side is from Walmart.

The silver rose is from the Michaels bargain racks. The front panel was also foam popped and mounted on a Recollections card base.

Starting a big card project – 1 down

I am working on a big card project for a friend.. she wants a mix of cards for various occasions. I have free reign on design so that will be fun and I can play around with ideas and styles. Here is one I made…. it’s a welcome to the neighborhood/moving in card.

I kept the coloring cartoonish/childish to match the image ..I think it’s kinda cute. Nice and quick, simple card.

Ziggyboard…. how I love you soooo

die_storage
Am I the only one not coloring, or crafting tonight because I am too busy cleaning up my mess so I have space to craft? lol … living in an apartment with no dedicated space and buying all the new stuff has kinda hit my craft area pretty hard lol.

I have a pile of scraps to take care of that look like Mount Everest….ahhh such is life. Hopefully tomorrow I can see the top of my craft carts ..luckily even though I bought a bunch of new dies from Lil’Inker and The Gina Marie dies from Scrapbook Outlet…I still don’t have that many, so I managed to hang them all up on the front and side of my 2 drawer filing cabinet with some  magnetic sheets I got from Ziggyboard.

That is now filled with all my card stock and envelopes and I even managed to throw in my large block dies and embossing folders 🙂

The 12×12 however is residing on top, it won’t fit in there *sigh I hope my cats stays off it….one of them is a real pain in the buttkiss about jumping on my carts to get to the window.

Well whatever ya’all are up to… Happy Crafting 🙂
