I used text to curve paths.. drew some circle/ovals and then hid them so they won't print... like you can make things invisible in DS.. you can do the same with thing in PSP7 so you can use text to path etc. I love text to paths :)

OK here is my Coloring challenge card.
I inserted the image into Design Space and then placed it on a diamond shape
attached it then print n cut with my Explore. I colored the image with my Copic markers.
His straw is colored with a gold Wink of Stella pen.
Colored the little girl twice and cut one out by hand and pop dotted
onto the image so it would be dimensional.
I did the background using chalks and my "cloud" paper template.
Then I sprayed it with sealer so the chalk would not come off.
Paper is from an older DCWV Fall stack. TFL

Here is a closer view of the image.

Wow .. love that.. and your clouds are so much better than mine :) Love the color scheme and the offset diamond. Great job, lots of elements and techniques that come together perfectly.

Here's my Dearie Doll coloring challenge. I used my diamond cut template for the base and Cricut scalloped circle and free circle fo the image.

That looks really cool Sandy, did you use watercolors paints on this one? The reason I ask is ..if you didn't read today's blog posts already.. I am thinking about getting a set of Japanese Watercolor paints for coloring my stamps. The papers you used match perfectly with the image theme.. great job.

MMisWipz – I love your card. Your background adds so much to the image. Did you color this or is it computer colored? Whichever you used, it’s a great job.
NanaDonna – What a great coloring job you did. You do such a good job of shading. That offset diamond looks very nice. I just noticed that you shadowed around the image – that’s a great idea. Love the card.

No, I used Copics to color this. But I did buy some Spectrum Aqua paints at the craft fair here in Denver a couple of weeks ago. I'm trying them out and so far, I think I'm going to like them. You can shade so easily with the water instead of using watercolor pencils and Gamasol.

Sandy...another great job! What a great idea of combining the Dearie Doll sketch with the diamond-fold card. I never think to combine things. I also really like the background paper and how everything goes together so well.

Have you ever thought of shading with your Copic Markers? That's what I use.

Yes, but I'm not very good at it. I guess I need more practice --- and patience! I actually took a 2 hour class on shading with Copics with a Copics instructor. It went great while in class. After class, I must have forgotten everything I was supposed to learn. I remember their 3-pen rule for shading but it's so hard to do on a small area. I'd rather take color out with the blender pen.

When you said shading, I thought you meant around the image. I usually just run my Copic marker around the outline the edges. As for the shading, I too, took one class and it was shading. I was terrible. I usually just do the lighter color, outline with the next one, go back with the light one, and then some of the darkest where you think it will go. What kind of paper do you use? The expensive does work better.

Right now so many of my pens are empty and I've been trying to find a place to order that has all the ones I want, but it's not going to happen. LOL.....
