The hat was what I had trouble with deciding on a color. Tried purple of course, but didn't like that it didn't show up well with the way I had colored the giraffe.

The papers are all scraps. It is also a 5" x 7" card. Hand written sentiment and brads from my stash. I cut the back prongs off the brads and attached with mini Zots. But they seem to shift a little and not stay stationary. Perhaps someone might have something better to recommend for attaching brads in this fashion.

Thanks for looking!!

Valerie,
Love your Giraffe card, the circles pattern paper is so fun and perfect for a birthday card. Glad you were able to get your "touch" of purple in there! Good to have you back!

Ok here is my entry for the coloring challenge.
I love this little giraffe image.

The background papers are from DCWV Nana's Kids stack
from a few years back. This is one of my favorite stack especially
for kids cards.
I used my Copics to color the giraffe, I didn't want to use "normal" colors
so I fancied him up a bit with purple & yellow.
I imported the giraffe image into Design Space and had my Explore
write the happy birthday on it using one of the Cricut writing fonts.
The Explore then cut out the giraffe.
All other pieces were cut with my trimmer except for the
white center panel that I used a Spellbinder to cut out.

NanaDonna....I just love how this card came out! I agree about the image, the more I see him, the more I like this little (?) guy. The colors you used are great. I can see it as a 1st birthday card or even a "new" baby card if you changed the sentiment. I also agree about the paper stack...one of the best out for babies. Is your card base a light yellow? The Deckle Spellbinder Die also looks great. Excellent card.

Nana,
Love the colors on your Giraffe image, never seen a purple one, but hey, this works really cute! Like the assortment and sizes of the dots theme. Very fun card!

Great idea to use this image for a new baby, I will keep them in mind.

Yes my base or matting it a yellow color. I love yellow and purple together
