January 2018 monthly sketches

Postby LisaW » Mon Jan 01, 2018 11:38 pm

Lets kick off the new year with some new sketches

Extra credit:
1. New, new, new...share something new you got for Christmas

2. A little challenge to myself...do you want to join me? Use one of the sketches as a Christmas card. If I use one sketch a month I would have 12 Christmas cards made :laughing-lettersrofl:

Thanks Lisa the sketches are GREAT.
Thanks for jumping in.

I love the idea of making a Christmas card a month
maybe even 2 then you will have 24 by the time Christmas rolls
around, just over half of what I need :-D

That is a great idea, making a Xmas card. I'll have my Xmas cards done.
Thanks for the sketches.

Thanks for the great sketches. I hope my MOJO will come back this month.

I hope you all had a nice holiday. We had the family here until the other day and today we have been taking down all our decorations. The house looks empty without all the decorations. LOL

I'm all for doing Christmas Cards!!!!

Great Christmas Card Bingolady!!! I liked the traditional colors you used. I was wondering how the Santa was made? Is it a puffed sticker?

Here's my Card #4. I chose to make it a Valentine Card, as I usually send out a few each year. I made the pink card base from the Heavy Duty Card Stock from Hobby Lobby. I usually just use white, but this time I bought a package of the heavy duty paper in assorted colors. The patterned paper is from a small stack that I picked up at TJ Max and which has a lot of Valentine papers in it. The stack is made by American Crafts. The heart is a Margaret Stewart Punch and the Sentiments are from a stamp set called "You've Got Mail" by My Favorite Things. The Twine is from my stash.

Thanks, Dee

Great cards Bingolady & Dee.
I HOPE to get back into my room later
today or tomorrow.
I think tomorrow things should get back to normal around here.
This holiday season really threw me off for some reason.

I did get a card made (needed one for my BIL Bingo's brother) a few days ago following one of the
December sketches and will post it later.

Thanks Donna and BingoLady.

Here is my Card for Sketch #1. It's also my Christmas Card. :happy-wavemulticolor: My card base is made from the Heavy Duty Card Stock from Hobby Lobby. The Patterned Papers are from a "The Paper Studios" Christmas Stack called "Furry & Bright." It's a really cute stack and features a lot of "Dog" papers. It's kind of hard to tell after I added the Green Dotted paper, which is also from the same stack.

Somewhere I have a Christmas Dog Stamp, but I couldn't find it and had to settle for using the My Favorite Things "Merry Christmas" die in my circle. The scalloped circle is Spellbinders and the Twine was in my stash.

Thanks for looking,
Dee

Thanks Dee, of course, the little saying on the front
I did not come up with on my own, I turned to our
fearless leader to help me out and of course she came
up with the perfect saying. LOL

It is an old digi I have had for years from
Digis with an Attitude which I think is no longer in business

Nana Donna......Beautiful card with beautiful colors!

Thanks for the info about the stamp. I've not heard of them. It must have been before I was stamping.
